the higher truth of life is the eternal cycle of birth and death 

we are here on earth for some soul purpose 

it can be helping people or it can be serve humanity 

as per buddha teachings there is higher truth of life 

buddha said right effort right livelihood and other noble path he gave for enlightenment of humanity 

so i suggest we should all read buddha teachings and other spiritual texts like srila prabhupada teachings 

and other spiritual gurus teachings
